Top VH1 Reality Moments of 2007

Happy New Year’s Eve! As I mentioned before, I’ll be doing my part to keep up with VH1 and all their countdowns by creating one of my own for the top ten VH1 reality moments of 2007. There was no scientific method to the placement of these moments, I just took what I liked and included what some of you readers sent to me to come up with one big end of the year list! I expect you to disagree with my choices, so let me know in the comments. So, here we go with the Watching VH1 year end countdown!

10. Pickel is Purged!–America’s Most Smartest Model

Seriously, who saw that coming? I sure didn’t. The episode was entertaining, surprising, and hilarious. I mean, come on. That montage of Pickel and Brett at the end as they hugged goodbye made me laugh out loud. It was good to see him come back for the finale, though, even if VJ did win…ugh.

9. The contestants have to pick out lingerie–Pickup Artist

How deliciously evil of Mystery and his wingmen to make the contestants drool over the women in their lingerie while having to listen to them talk about what they liked to wear! It was hilarious watching the guys go into lingerie stores and have to describe what they had learned from the women and pick out an outfit in their sizes and what they would like to wear. Pure awkwardness is always funny!

8. Tango breaks up with New York–I Love New York 1 Reunion Show

Of course we knew the love affair wouldn’t last (I Love New York was getting too high of ratings for the producers to let them live happily ever after), but a good old fashioned New York meltdown is always entertaining. She cursed, she cried, she threw things…ahh insanity.

7. Pepa sexy dances in Salt’s church–Salt N Pepa Show

It’s amazing the pair ever got back together, but the funniest moment of the entire show had to be when Salt convinced Pepa to perform at her church with her. First, Pepa wants to wear her “hoochie” barely there outfits and then once they get on stage and perform, she decides to keep in her signature sexy moves–while singing about God. The look on Salt’s face and the way she grabbed her and pulled her up was priceless.

6. Rodeo man handles Lacey–Rock of Love

Lacey was just a big villain on Rock of Love and there was one time that I absolutely loved. Lacey was trying to get in Dallas’s face about Dallas and her fur and started getting physical. Never fear, Rodeo is here! She grabbed Lacey on the stairs and threw her down and kept her pinned until Dallas could get away. I believe her words in her interview were something to the effect of “I may be a southern lady, but I man handled that bitch.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

5. Entertainer’s mom fights with Sister Patterson–I Love New York 2

Now THAT fight should have been on the Springer Hustle (and maybe then that VH1 reality show would have made my list). Over protective moms fighting for their children is always a good time. There was great name calling, cursing, finger waving, yelling, and of course flirting with the husband. Explosive and oh so funny.

4. Brooke is a slutacious whore–Charm School

Ah, Mo’Nique. She’s always telling those Charm School girls how it really is. After Brooke (Pumkin) decided to get drunk by sucking liquor out of the ice sculpture and rubbing up on all the men at the “prom”, Mo’Nique just couldn’t hold back at the elimination ceremony. Brooke was called the “slutacious whore of Charm School” before she was kicked out of the house. She insisted she wasn’t, but you have to wonder what she thinks now that she’s seen the way she acted.

3. Meet the parents episode–Rock of Love

It seems like adding parents to the mix of dating shows is entertainment gold. Rock of Love surely didn’t disappoint. First, there was Jes’s dad in his leather gear, and then Lacey’s dad as painting her as the perfect daughter that was just creepy and awkward at his lunch with Bret. However, when he asked Bret if he was bald under the bandana, I couldn’t help but thank the man for asking the question we all wanted to know. Then there was that knock down, drag out yelling match between Heather and Lacey in front of the parents talking about how slutty Lacey was. Oh, what a great time!

2. Screech is an idiot–Celebrity Fit Club

There really isn’t one single episode I’m talking about here, just the whole show really. He alienated pretty much everyone on the show (although Maureen and Ross were too nice to really make him an outcast). He wasn’t funny with his impressions of Brat and Cledus and his porn star wannabe attitude was just sad. It’s no surprise now why I was a Zach Morris fan.

1. The airing of Mission: Man Band–Mission: Man Band

Really, with me making this list, could there have been a different number one? Of course not! I’m very glad that VH1 aired the one season of Man Band that it did air, although I wish they would keep going (but I hear they are filming a second season for another network, so yea!). There really wasn’t a “moment” on this show, it was just the whole thing that made me, and boy band fans everywhere, happy.
