Season 2 For Salt N Pepa
Happy Fat Tuesday! It’s Mardi Gras down in New Orleans and Salt N Pepa are down there on their own float, throwing out beads and helping build houses for Hurricane Katrina victims. I’ll bet the partying was Pep’s idea and the building houses was the only way to get Salt to go along for the trip.
The reason this is news, is because they took their VH1 camera crews with them to Louisiana. That’s right! Our favorite hip hop dysfunctional duo are filming a second season of their hit VH1 CelebReality show The Salt N Pepa Show. They are currently filming now, so there has been no official word when a second season would air on VH1. If I had to guess, I would say most likely late spring or early summer would be the soonest the new season would premiere considering some of the current CelebReality shows will still be airing into May.
Is anyone else a bit surprised that they will do a second season? First of all, I didn’t think they got the ratings that are generally needed for VH1 to greenlight a second season (but then again, Scott Baio got a pickup and I thought the same thing there). Also, Salt was so reluctant about doing the first season that I didn’t think she would be on board for round 2. The Jena 6 episode must have made her realize what a great platform she has to advance her messages and opinions in the public eye.
What do you think? Good idea or bad idea on another season of Salt N Pepa?

I think the salt n pepa show is great. I love it! Those two ladies are bad. Everytime I listen to one of their songs, I want to hear another, and another. Keep up the good work. I wish they would record some more songs together. Including Spinderella!!!!!
