Watching VH1

I just finished watching the Rock of Love finale, and it certainly delivered! Did you miss the episode? Do you think Bret chose Heather or Jes to continue to Rock his World? We start out with a recap of the season and how the house immediately divided into the “bad girls” and the “good girls” and Bret realized he’s not good at dating. The “bad girls” team up to try and pick off the others one by one. It’s down to the final two, Heather a “bad girl”, and Jes a “good girl”. Heather gets Bret’s name tattooed on her neck, and Lacey is evil and was eliminated last week.

The finale begins the morning after the last elimination, and the girls are packing to go to Cabo San Lucas. Jes says she’s not about to give up after getting this far. Heather is convinced Bret is her man and she’ll fight for him. Bret comes out of his room and says he’s loving both of the final two girls and it will be a rough decision.

They head off in a private plane that Heather describes as “pimp”. Jes is ready to La Cucaracha with her man in Mexico. The hotel greets them with dancers who pull them all out to dance with them. Heather almost knocks Bret over to get to a hot dancer girl and that kind of unnerves Bret a little. They get into the hotel and the girls will share a room. Bret has left them several presents with a note saying he’ll meet them for dinner by the pool.

As Heather gets ready for dinner she says Jes isn’t passionate about being with Bret like she is. Jes says it’s not in her nature to fight, but she will for Bret. Bret meets the “terrific two” for dinner and talks about how tense the dinner was immediately. He launches into a lot of questions he needs answers to. He asks Heather about her obsession with beautiful women and wants to know if she is really into women. She assures him she just appreciates beauty. He’s afraid Heather is just a party girl. Heather jumps on Jes for how young she is and Jes counters with Heather being 31 and still a stripper. Bret tries to get them to eat, but they just stare instead. He tells them how the rest of the trip will go and he leaves them there together to go off to bed.

The next day, the girls head to the pool. Jes hopes she gets the first date. Heather gets a note saying for her to get ready for their date and Jes is mad because she doesn’t want Heather to think she has an advantage. Bret picks up Heather and they head off to play with some Dune Buggies. They put on their safety gear and wear bandanas over their faces. Bret slows down because his diabetes starts to flare up so he says they need to go eat. Heather decides she wants to drive the dune buggy and Bret agrees even though he feels sick. He says he felt like he was going to die as she hit every bump. He starts to get bothered that Heather wasn’t at all concerned, and they eventually drive over to their picnic. He started to feel better after he ate and they watch the waves before they head back to the hotel. He tells her to get ready for dinner.

Heather walks into the room and brags about her date to Jes. Jes decides to rattle her by telling her that she’s just a plaything for Bret. They fight about Heather looking like a stripper before she leaves. Bret likes the dress, though, and Bret calls their dinner heaven on Earth. Heather asks Bret where she stands and where Jes stands. Bret tells her they’ve bonded on a party level, but he needs to get to the bottom of things he needs answers to. He’s still stuck on getting hurt by a stripper 20 years ago. He tells Heather she’s energetic and he wants to know how she’d entertain herself while he’s on the road. She tells him that she leads a boring life at home. Heather than says she is in love with him and she wants to spend her life with him. He says he doesn’t know what to say and he says he doesn’t have words and stutters a lot. He says his heart bought it as he looked into her eyes. Bret gets up right away and takes her back to his room. There is dessert waiting there for them with candles and champagne. They take in the view from the balcony and then head for the bed.

The next day, Heather leaves Bret’s room confident their bond is stronger. She’ll be heading back to LA while he spends time with Jes. Heather joins Jes for breakfast and tells her about how she was naked all night in his bed. Jes tells her she needs to shower. Jes gets her note from Bret and asks Heather if she’s jealous. Heather tells her she’s no competition and Jes says the only thing Heather has more of is boobs and she could go get those today if she wanted them. As Jes leaves for her date, Heather tells her to remember where Bret’s mouth has been all night and she’s getting sloppy seconds. Undaunted, Jes just heads in and hits Bret with a long kiss.

Bret is excited because they are wearing matching bandanas. Bret hopes she can take down her walls. He leaders to the dock and there is a huge yacht waiting for them. Jes is impressed by how huge it is and they sit up on the deck and check out the seals on the rocks. Jes says it was the perfect date for her and she showed him a lot of affection. She is still worried he doesn’t know how she feels. As they eat lunch, Jes tells him the scariest thing for her is that she’s scared he’ll reject her. He tells her she’s going to have to jump to find out if it’s love. She doesn’t know if she can do that considering the situation.

Bret says Heather is open and honest, but Jes is still hiding something. They go back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. He takes her to a different resort for dinner. He starts not feeling well and knows something isn’t right about his diabetes and he was really sick. She says she noticed immediately something wasn’t right with him. He tells her how to inject his insulin in case he goes into shock. Jes makes him promise that he’ll tell her if something is wrong. She says she has a lot to tell him, but she can’t do it when he’s sick. He tells her he loves being with her and she cries. Bret realizes this means she does care and her walls are down. He decides he needs to go back to his room and she goes with him. They head into the jacuzzi naked, and Bret says it was the perfect ending to the perfect day, minus the almost insulin shock. They have breakfast the next morning and Bret says he loves she’s not a player. He said it was tough to say goodbye and she says it’s weird not being around him.

Jes went back to LA and she and Heather will stay in a hotel while he spends some time alone in Cabo to make his decision. He says he has strong feelings for both of them and will have to make one of the toughest decisions of his life. He goes back to the house and has a drink as he talks to Big John. He tells Big John he needs to make this decision on his own, so he is left alone with his thoughts. He gets ready for the final elimination ceremony and knows it’s time to get serious. Heather has a shot as she gets ready and her hair is HUGE. She says if Bret doesn’t choose her, they won’t even be friends. Jes admits she’s been an emotional mess the last few days and she’s scared of being rejected. She cries in the limo on the way over.

Jes gets to the house first. It’s covered in candles and roses. She’s nervous and she’s feeling all emotions at once. Heather is confident that she will get the man of her dreams. Jes makes fun of Heather’s 80s porn hair and Heather tells Jes she’s surprised she showed up. Bret walks in and Big John does not come with him because he wants it to be just him and his woman. He starts out by telling Heather she’s become his best friend and she’s awesome. He tells Jes she was cold at first, but now she’s been there for him.

He then says it just came to him and he has a final test for them. He asks them both to be his girlfriend. The girls look at each other and Heather says she would share him with Jes and she will do anything to show him how much he means to her. Jes refuses to share and says she can’t share him and if he’s hers, that’s it. Bret tells them he’s looking for the girl who just fits. He asks Heather to come down to him and he tells her he doesn’t want to lose her, but he doesn’t think she’ll be that girl. She walks out with not a single word. He says he is sick about it, but he had to make the decision to let Bret go. She gets to the limo and starts cussing him out.

Bret calls Jes down to him and she starts crying. She says she feels crazy about him. He tells her that she was there for him when he needed her with the insulin. He says he got everything he wanted and she let her guard down. Jes was his Rock of Love. The episode ends with Heather in the limo complaining about the tattoo on her neck.
