Reality Rewind 9/23 (Hogan Knows Best)

The Rock of Love had a clips show this week of never before seen footage. I’m not big on recapping recaps, but if you’re interested to see what happened, Christina over at RealityShack has your recap for you. There was also an extra footage show of The Pickup Artist of the actual lessons that Mystery gave to the guys, along with his “Mystery Mail” segments that can be seen online. It was definitely interesting, but didn’t really make an impact on the results of the show, so I didn’t recap that one, either. I did enjoy it, though, so you should catch it in reruns if you can.
However, Hogan Knows Best was new this week and I have your recap for you after the jump.

Brooke is getting her hair done and talking to her stylist about her show she booked at Universal Studios and Nick comes in and says he wants to go on rides at the park. Brooke says it’s impossible because their parents will get mobbed. The stylist says they should go incognito. The kids think it’s brilliant and go to tell their parents. Hulk thinks it would be great to be normal for one day. Linda makes a joke about Hulk’s nose already being huge and Hulk wants to make Linda’s butt bigger.
At the hotel at Universal Studios, Brooke shows Hulk what she’s planning to wear for her show and he says it’s too small. He has Brooke fix his ponytail for him. Nick and his friend decide they need to go get swim suits and they head to a surf shop. Instead of picking out their own suits, they decide to pick out suits for each other and get some tiny tight suits and pink crocs. They put them on and go out to the pool with people pointing and laughing at them. Nick decides they are too tight and he’s not getting blood to all of his parts, so they change into normal trunks and head back out.
Brooke plays her show to a huge and lively crowd with her family in the front and Nick crowd surfs. The record exec was impressed and they go back to the hotel to rest. The next day they have to get up early to get their prosthetics. They show Hulk his body suit with a beer belly and he says he’s going to look like Brian Knobs. The rest of the family joins him and laughs that he looks like a molester. Linda’s suit has a big fake butt that Hulk loves. She can’t get the jeans up over the butt and Hulk helps her get them on. Brooke thinks her dad looks scary. They are giving Brooke braces for her look and a Pokemon shirt and Nick gets a beard and scraggly hair. They all look in the mirror and talk about how ugly they are. Linda’s mullet is hilarious. They decide on fake names and they’re from Milwaukee and they won a trip by calling into a radio station.
When they get to the park, they decide to ride the Hulk and even have some strange southern accents that wouldn’t be heard in Milwaukee. They look at their picture from the ride and Nick says it should be their Christmas card. Linda makes Hulk do a strong man contest and then she stops to talk to a kid from Mississippi. Hulk tells her not to talk to strangers and then burps on her. Hulk does some sort of weird dance and no one seems to notice. He decides he loves being normal and no one bothers him. Nick tries to hit on some girls, but they ignore him. They go to ride another ride and Linda wants to get off of it before it starts, but Nick makes her ride. Brooke decides it’s not as much fun as being a VIP because they have to wait in line.
They ride more rides and Nick steals a Hoveround cart for Hulk. He rides it around and asks a lady if she’s seen Hulk Hogan and she says no. That makes him laugh as he drives away. He runs into a wall and some guys stop to help him back up. Nick and Brooke talk to a guy who says he thinks Brooke Hogan is kind of fat. That makes Brooke mad. They get some hot dogs and ask more people if they’ve seen the Hogans anywhere around. Eventually they start peeling off the prosthetics because they decide they like being VIPs better than normal people and everyone around are amazed and ask for autographs. As they leave the park, they tell Nick his idea was great and are happy they got to enjoy the park without everyone hounding them like that.
Next week, Hulk decides to teach Brooke a lesson in budgeting and puts her in control of her own finances. Let’s see if she can keep up with her bills.
