Reality Rewind 8/6 (Mission: Man Band)
Ahhhhh, my CelebReality life is now complete. I just finished watching the premiere of Mission: Man Band on VH1. I’m writing the recaps for the show over at RealityShack.com, so if you missed the episode and want to know what happened, head on over and read the recap!
Hopefully I can get the recaps for The Rock Life up tomorrow sometime. Tomorrow afternoon is also my big exclusive interview with the Mission: Man Band guys, so check back here tomorrow evening for the transcript of the interview and (hopefully) a podcast! Keep your fingers crossed I don’t shriek and faint as I’m interviewing them.

hey heather
Thank you for the episode recap. I have fan friends who either didnt get to see the show or for whatever reason. again it is so great to have a fan blogging about the show.
I know the episode is rather dark..for me its heartbreaking to hear about what Chris went through. Also I know that fans are used to seeing Chris being a jokester and always laughing so seeing him like this is a bit of a shock. But that’s who he is. His first reaction is to always joke around because being serious…kinda..well hurts? He’s lead quite the interesting life–being poor, being homeless-basically coming from nothing–and now he’s got everything. It’s like he always has to be in a joking mood to lighten the situation because he had to be positive for his mom and sisters growing up. He’s come a long way and I am so proud of him. He’s human and he has his quirks and the fans adore him .

Also… if you’re looking for laughs? Go over to VSPOT on VH1 and check out the extra clips. There is one clip where Rich starts talking about bathroom humor and by the end of the clip all the guys are red in the face from laughing. It is SO great to see Chris laugh like that–I swear its as great a sound as hearing him sing. Watching these guys you forget that theyve had worldwide succcess and sold millions of records. You are reminded that they’re just five average guys albeit at the moment little boys–laughing about potty humor.. giggling at words like butt….and other things. I myself and fellow fans ive talked to end up in tears by the end of the clip as well
There are seven clips–and the last 5 basically are the guys discussing that first day in the house. Being a fangirl yourself I know you’ll appreciate this.

Also… LOL I have to say I really like the fact that this show is done with VH1. Not only does VH1 air shows repeatedly..morning noon and night. BUT with Vspot you can go on and catch the show before it airs, and watch extra clips.

Hey, Jillian!
I was just on my way over here to talk about those extra clips. I understand they have to show the drama to catch us up to date on the guys post fame, but I also think they should include more of the clips like the bathroom one to even out the tone. Show these guys having fun and actually enjoying each other once in awhile would help, I think. If they show more of their chemistry on the show, I think it will help their record sales because the way they are editing it now it seems like they are all looking at this as a business deal. We need to see more of themselves invested in the project and that passion. Maybe it will come through when they start making the music.
