Watching VH1

What a huge mess! I love it! The finalists’ parents came to visit the guys and meet New York on tonight’s episode. It was like a Jerry Springer show come to life. They all got to live together like one big dysfunctional family. Woohoo! If you want all the juicy details of what went down, keep reading after the jump.

Previously, Entertainer was called a freak and sucked New York’s toes. They all visited a couples’ counselor and New York admitted she’s looking for a “wife”. New York lost some love for Buddha when she found out he was an actor.

This week starts off with the guys waking up in the morning and New York wants to combine all of them to make her perfect guy. Punk talks about how Mr. Wise left and it will be down to him and New York at the end. Buddha’s strategy is to be himself as he watches a pigeon fly around the house. Entertainer reads a note from New York and they see cleaning supplies. They all have to clean their own rooms for the “guests” which Tailor Made deduces it will be the parents. He doesn’t clean after himself normally, and wants to hire a cleaning service. Entertainer on the other hand, talks about how he cleans everyday even if he lives with his parents. He’s worried about his parents staying there with them.

Entertainer’s parents come first and hug and kiss their son. His mom asks to meet her “future daughter in law” and he introduces her to New York who sees where he gets his personality. He takes them to show them around. Tailor Made’s dad shows up and tells New York about how great of a dad Tailor Made is. Entertainer’s mom asks about how things are going with him and New York and says she’s a beautiful girl. When Punk’s mom and sister come, New York says he was lucky because he didn’t get the ugly genes in the family. New York could tell that Punk’s mom didn’t like her. Buddha’s dad comes in and New York thinks he’s hot. The dad tells New York she needs to stop smoking or she’ll lose her natural beauty. That makes New York pretty much hate him right away.

Tailor Made and Entertainer’s parents talk and Tailor Made is not surprised he’s a momma’s boy when his parents talk about paying his bills for him. New York goes out to join Punk and his mom. She tells New York she’s very disappointed that Punk is there and it seemed like a rash decision. His mom says she thinks his judgment if off and that New York isn’t the type of girl he normally dates. Punk asks if it would be different if he had met her at the library and she says yes. Punk figures out it’s the situation and not New York herself that is the problem.

Later, New York is inside talking with Buddha and his dad when Punk walks in. She asks Punk if his mom is okay with her yet, and Punk just thinks they need to spend some time together. New York tells all of them that she will take Entertainer and his parents and Punk and his family to dinner. Punk thinks that’s good because Entertainer’s parents will talk themselves into a hole and they can be the “normal” ones. Entertainer knows Sister Patterson will be there and he’s worried it will be a knock down, drag out fight.

At dinner, Sister Patterson is there. Immediately, Entertainer’s mom starts picking a fight. Sister Patterson tries to be honest about how she feels about Entertainer and pretty much tells Sister Patterson to butt out when Entertainer is in the bathroom. New York steps up to her mom’s defense and tells Mrs. Entertainer to stop disrespecting her mother. Punk is worried that New York’s outburst will set his mom even farther back. Entertainer comes back from the bathroom and sees Sister Patterson and New York leaving. He tries to find out what happened and they tell him to go away. Entertainer goes up and finds out what’s happened and changes chairs to try to solve the problem. Entertainer goes outside to tell New York and Sister Patterson to come back up. They tell him to go inside and they will be in there when they are ready. Mrs. Entertainer says she’s not going to talk to the transvestite anymore. Punk and his family are just sitting in awkward silence.

New York and Sister Patterson come back eventually and after a long awkward silence, Sister Patterson starts talking to Mr. Entertainer and hitting on him. She eventually pushes the right button for Mrs. Entertainer to fly off the handle again. Once again, Sister Patterson and New York leave the dinner. Entertainer apologizes to Punk and his family for the fighting and Punk knows Entertainer has dug himself a hole he probably won’t get out of.

The next day, the Entertainer is talking about how calm it is in the house and how he hopes it stays that way. Punk’s mom and Tailor Made’s dad are sitting in the kitchen talking about the fights and Punk’s mom doesn’t think that sort of language is appropriate for her son. New York gets up and says she realizes she acted a bit out of character, but she doesn’t really like Entertainer’s mom because she went after her mom. Mrs. Entertainer says Sister Patterson did not raise New York right. Entertainer tells his dad that he’s sticking it out until the end whether his parents like it or not.

Buddha reads a note that says he and his dad and Tailor Made and his dad should meet New York and Sister Patterson out by the pool. Tailor Made is concerned Buddha and his dad will look better in their bathing suits. New York hopes everything goes smoothly and Buddha says he wants to just steer clear of Sister Patterson. Tailor Made’s dad immediately starts sweet talking Sister Patterson and she falls for it. Buddha and Tailor Made take New York to play volleyball in the pool and leave Sister Patterson to talk with the dads. She tells them that Buddha beat up Tailor Made and there was blood everywhere. Buddha’s dad wants to hear Tailor Made’s side of the story, which offends Sister Patterson. Buddha overhears the conversation and butts in to try and get the truth out. Tailor Made just sits and listens even though he knows she’s exaggerating. Buddha gets angry and lays into Sister Patterson which makes New York mad. Buddha walks off with New York following him and telling him he’s pissing her off. He’s angry because she knows he’s telling the truth and won’t stand up to her mom. She says she’s sick of Buddha’s attitude and so she leaves and goes inside.

Later, she tells everyone she’s making dinner for them all and they all just sit around staring at her. She says she wants the families to see the motherly side of New York. She and Sister Patterson go off and Entertainer and his parents start talking strategy for the dinner. He tells them to sit at the complete opposite end of the table so there are no confrontations. His dad says he wants to be so far away he has to ask what she said and Mrs. Entertainer says she’ll keep her mouth shut.

Punk takes his mom aside and asks how she feels about New York. She thinks New York is aggressive and she’s not used to people like that. Buddha and his dad talk about the confrontation at the pool. Buddha is afraid her mom will come between them and there is no way for them to get around that. Meanwhile, New York is in the kitchen cooking chicken and she’s nervous because she’s never cooked for more than 4 people before. She drops some chicken on the floor and then throws it in the pot anyway. Entertainer joins her in the kitchen to help her cook and she loves that. They canoodle in front of Buddha and his dad and that makes Buddha go off to sulk. New York follows him to see why he’s acting like a baby. He doesn’t want to talk with her because he’s disappointed in her not standing up to her mom. He says Sister Patterson doesn’t like him because he is trying to get New York to stand up to her mom. She threatens to send him home because he won’t talk to her.

It’s time for dinner, and New York says she’s trying to keep it together for the guys and their parents. No one is talking at first and Sister Patterson refuses to eat something. New York says it’s very uncomfortable and Entertainer breaks the silence and says it’s weird everyone is quiet. Buddha’s dad says dinner tastes interesting. Tailor Made’s dad says he can tell that Tailor Made is in love with New York and that pleases New York. New York asks Entertainer’s parents about him. They make him out to be a baby and his mom takes care of him. Enteratiner starts listing off all of the stuff he does for his mom without being asked. Tailor Made giggles to himself about how Entertainer is a loser. New York excuses herself from dinner and tells them she’ll see them at elimination. Punk says his mom has reservations, but he is staying. Buddha thinks he could be leaving after their confrontation.

At elimination, Punk is afraid New York won’t see past how his mom feels. Entertainer says it’s about him and New York, not his mom. Buddha doesn’t know for sure if he’ll stay. The parents are there and Entertainer’s dad says if he gets eliminated he’ll come home and live in the basement. The parents are all there with the guys and Tailor Made gets the first chain. Punk gets the next chain and then Buddha is nervous since there is only one chain left. New York calls Entertainer Frank and Tailor Made thinks Buddha could be going home for butting heads. She tells Buddha she’s attracted to his toughness, but she’s not sure he likes her. Entertainer is told he’s fun, but he’s dismissed because as she puts it he’s a loser. Entertainer is mad she didn’t see past the basement. Buddha gets the last chain and they all say goodbye to the parents. They make a toast as she tells them to go pack because they are all going to Miami the next morning.

Next time, they are going to Miami and New York and Buddha fight some more as Punk professes his love for her and Tailor Made carries her to bed.
