Reality Rewind 11/25 (Smartest Model)
Whoa. Now THAT is a surprising elimination! So far, none of the eliminated models has been much of a surprise, but this time I was shocked. Did you catch this week’s episode of America’s Most Smartest Model? No worries! I have your recap for you after the jump.

Last time, it was Daniel’s birthday and the models go out to celebrate. However, they were in the middle of a secret Edge challenge and drunken Daniel was not happy with that, so he started throwing things around. Their callback challenge was a photoshoot with a animals and Daniel was sent home.
As the models wake up, Andre is super happy since Daniel is gone and he now has an alliance with Rachel, Pickel, and Brett. Pickel talks about targeting Angela and VJ and he suns himself by the pool. Later, the models see a bunch of workout clothes waiting for them. They find out the edge challenge will test both their smarts and their physical abilities. They are told to choose partners and then meet in the living room in an hour.
VJ immediately tries to butter up to Andre, who he thinks is the best athlete in the house. Andre doesn’t want to compete with VJ. Angela and VJ team up because Angela wants more strategy and VJ thinks she’s smart so they’ll make a good team. Pickel and Brett and Andre and Rachel are the other two teams, but the alliance decides they will stick together to get rid of VJ and Angela.
Later, they come into the challenge and see some treadmills. Ben explains that they have to think fast so their partners don’t have to run quite as fast. The team with the most correct answers get the easiest setting on the treadmill. All three teams will be asked the same questions, so the two teams not being questioned will be sequestered.
Pickel goes first and he stumbles over a few, but gets most of them right. Angela is next and gets a few more questions in and Mary Alice chastised her for not knowing an Italian designer. Rachel is next and is nervous that if she doesn’t get enough questions right and Andre will throw her in the pool.
Pickel had 10 right, Angela had 13 correct, and Rachel ended up with 13 right. Andre and VJ will run at level 6 and Brett has to run at level 9. Andre and VJ jog along at a nice pace while Brett sprints. After almost 6 minutes, Brett quits and leaves it up to Andre to beat VJ. Angela and VJ talk about how they want the Soviet out of the house and they are doing this for America. Pickel and Brett are impressed with Andre’s focus and compare him to Ivan Drago from the Rocky movie.
VJ wants to prove that Andre isn’t as tough as he says he is and Mary Alice tells a surprised Ben that she isn’t surprised at either of them because they’ve been after each other since day 1. After about 40 minutes, Mary Alice tells the girls to crank the treadmills up to 7. Soon, VJ is holding on to the machine. Andre tries to get the judges’ attention and says it’s cheating that he’s holding all his weight with his arms. At the 59 minute mark, they put the treadmills up to 8. Andre asks Rachel to pour water on him, and she gets it in his eye and hard down his throat which makes him cough and he has to quit. Ben is amazed at the stamina and tells Angela and VJ they will get a changing station close to the runway for the show at tomorrow’s challenge.
Later, VJ finds a note that makes him angry. It says that he and Angela have to choose one of the others to share their changing room at the challenge. He doesn’t want to give someone else that luxury because he feels they didn’t earn it. They choose Rachel and she gladly accepts. The alliance is talking about how Angela doesn’t have much experience and she overhears, which makes her angry. Angela then goes to the runway and works on her walk.
The next day, the models get ready for the challenge. They have wardrobe, hair, and makeup people there for them. Mary Alice tells them they will do 2 quick change fashion shows in the living room. VJ, Angela, and Rachel get to use the changing room by the living room door. Ben tells Pickel, Brett, and Andre they have to change on the other side of the pool. That’s not all, though. They have to run back to the living room through an obstacle course that includes walking over the pool on a plank, monkey bars, sprinting through tires, and then running in circles 5 times with a bat on their heads. The guest judge will have no idea there is an obstacle course in the backyard. The show will last 15 minutes, but they each have to model 3 different outfits in that time.
VJ, Angela, and Rachel are to go first. Angela and VJ get good reviews from the judges, but Rachel’s shoes don’t fit and she doesn’t do very well. In the next round, Angela’s dress doesn’t fit well. In the last round, VJ gets changed and runs out before the girls. Rachel has some problems with her earrings and Angela gets good reviews about her body. Ben tells them they did well and had 2 minutes to spare. Rachel is disappointed with the way things went.
Next up is Brett, Pickel, and Andre. They are strategizing about how to make their show better no matter what it takes. They throw off their robes and get their first outfits on. They all wait for each other when they get across the course to make it seem like a real runway show. Ben makes comments as they run around in their underwear. Mary Alice continues making comments about how terrible and weird they are acting. Rachel continues to cheer them on as she watches while VJ and Angela make snide comments. At the end of the show, Brett thinks they did well and Rachel is sure she’s going home.
All of the models gather to hear the results. VJ goes first. He is told he looked great, but his “pimp roll” on the first outfit was bad. Rachel is told she gets brownie points for overcoming her earring problem. Angela is told she was fantastic and she tells Mary Alice she practiced hard. Andre gets scolded for winking and blowing kisses and then is told he’s not a model, but he seems like he’s an actor playing a model. Pickel is then scolded about the opening the tuxedo. Brett is told he looked mean and he starts arguing about how he’s won the other two runway challenges and didn’t change anything this time. He is then told to just stop and realizes he should before he digs a hole. They then declare Angela the winner.
Later, Brett and Andre are complaining about Angela winning and how she’s acting like she is better than them. When she comes through the room, Andre confronts her about her perceived attitude and wants some thanks for teaching her how to walk. She feels she won the challenge because of her practice, not Andre’s help. The alliance is sitting around talking about who is going to leave and Brett hopes his arguing doesn’t hurt him at the elimination. Pickel doesn’t think he nor Brett should go and thinks they can do better.
At elimination, Angela thinks Brett will go home because of his attitude. Pickel thinks he’s on the chopping block for his performance in the Edge challenge. Mary Alice tells them she expected to call a woman down, but they both stepped it up in both challenges, so they are both safe. She also tells VJ he was fantastic on the treadmill and also in the runway challenge.
VJ is thrilled his three biggest competitors are on the chopping block. Brett is told he was disrespectful and he does apologize. Mary Alice tells him that if he doesn’t value her opinion, then he should be gone. Pickel is told he bombed in the Edge challenge and that surprised Ben. Mary Alice tells him he hasn’t thrived individually, but he is great in teams. Andre is told he has the most experience, but he was disaster on the runway today. He doesn’t understand why he can’t do those things in this competition when he’s done it on the runway for great designers. Ben does give Andre props for helping out the other guys and Mary Alice is glad to see him getting along with the others. Andre outs his alliance of four and VJ is surprised to hear that news. He says he’s there for himself and the alliance better watch out. Surprisingly, Pickel is eliminated. He hugs his friends and Rachel gets teary eyed. He says he is bummed he’s leaving, but he knows he didn’t do his best. He is sad he has to leave his buddy Brett behind.
Next time, they have to put together a go-kart and then race them. Their callback challenge is a car show and everyone gets thrown off as the platform begins to rotate.

I am now boycotting the show. How can they get rid of Pickel? PICKEL???? Sigh.

I’m with you, Christina!
I was all about team Pickel/Brett (Brickel? Prett?) and now Brett is annoying me with his talking back to Mary Alice this past episode, so I’m going to miss Pickel. As long as VJ doesn’t win this thing, I’m okay. I’ll even take an Andre win over VJ.
