Celebrity Fit Club is Back With a Twist
Are you looking forward to seeing more celebrities sweat off their extra weight with Drill Sergeant Harvey Walden IV? Well, your wait is just about over! Celebrity Fit Club is back and will air Thursdays starting March 13th. However, it’s not Fit Club like you’re used to. It’s got a whole new look and feel to the show.
First of all, it’s called “Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp”. That’s right! Not only will they be bunking together in a barracks like setting, they get a lot more of Harvey yelling at them. Woo hoo! The other twist is that these won’t be significantly overweight celebs, but instead some that just need to shed those last 20 or so pounds before reaching their goal weight. The new season will also pit Fit Club veterans (Toccara, Willie Ames, Tina Yothers, and *gulp* Dustin Diamond) against 4 new celebs (Erin Moran from “Happy Days”, Sommore from “Queens of Comedy”, AJ Benza a Pro Poker Player, and Brian Dunkelman the displaced host from the first season of “American Idol”). The cast will not only be judged on number of pounds lost, but overall fat percentage lost. If you have no idea who these people are, you can see pictures of them at VH1.com.
Ant is back to host for his sixth time, and Dr. Ian Smith and Psychologist Stacy Kaiser also return to help out the celebs with their wisdom and guidance. It looks like it should be a fun season!
The only thing I’m not really looking forward to is more Dustin Diamond. He sucked up all the screen time in his season and drove me crazy. I love me some “Saved By the Bell”, but it wasn’t the Screech scenes that made me want to come back for more and the same applies to Celebrity Fit Club. Let’s hope he’s mellowed out or living in the same room with everyone else under Harvey’s thumb will straighten him out. Let me know what you like and what you don’t about this new season in the comment section below.

Did he really? I don’t remember him (although I only started watching E! about the Steve Kmetko/Jules Asner days) and I’ve never seen him before. He’s billing himself as a Pro Poker Player from the “World Series of Poker” for this show is all I know. His picture didn’t help me at all

Dustin again? Seriously? I understand the producers like drama, but I didn’t even find him to be at all compelling.
I have always felt bad for Dunkleman after the success of AI and Seacrest (although I stil don’t understand why on the latter).

I know, Winnie. I’m sure they want someone to stir up trouble and ratings, but why Dustin? During his season he didn’t even show up a lot of the time and when he did he didn’t even try.
As for Ryan Seacrest’s successs…he’s an amazing marketer and has a very savvy business head and I think that’s how he gets far. It was AI that gave him exposure, but he sure knew how to capitalize on that to get him a super secure future.

That Dustin guy is nuts! I actually TIVO’d the show until I saw one show with him in it, then I deleted it from TIVO. If Dustin’s on there for “face time,” then he’s really stupid because I don’t know of anyone who would want to work with him if every time he doesn’t want to do something he whines &/or calls his lawyer. What a wimp.
