So I have a confession to make. I haven’t watched any of the new CelebReality shows this week. I know, I know, BAD WATCHING VH1 BLOGGER! Never fear, I will watch those episodes one of the gazillion times they are rerun on VH1, but I don’t want to keep you waiting any longer for recaps.

Scott Baio is no longer 45 and Single. Scott Baio is now 46 and Pregnant. Luckily, we’re all along for the ride as the perpetual bachelor gives up the swinging lifestyle to settle down with one woman and become a daddy. It couldn’t happen to a nicer neurotic mess! I caught the premiere episode, did you? I forgot what a great 80s soundtrack this show has, so that was great. It was also great to see the whole gang back together and Scott still acting like a child. I guess some things never change.

Scott Baio’s second season on VH1 starts tomorrow night and he’s been making the media rounds to promote the show. Here is a short clip of him on Ellen talking about his new baby daughter and showing her pictures. Enjoy!

We are a mere few hours away from the official debut of the new VH1 CelebReality season with the premiere of Celebrity Rehab and my itchy remote button finger is dying to click over and watch some great trashy “reality” television. While it will be nice to see something new tonight, I’m honestly most looking forward to this Sunday’s new shows because it’s Rock of Love 2 and Scott Baio is 46…and Pregnant.

Speaking of Scott Baio, his new show will follow him as he learns to deal with the idea of going from being 45 and single to a new father and Renee’s husband. There are a lot of changes going on in his life, but will the people who support him stay around? It looks like it! His good friends Steve and Jason are back, along with Doc Ali who is slated to be in about half of the 9 episodes this season. Let’s of course not forget Johnny V. Last time we saw him, he was peeking through the gates at Scott’s “graduation” celebration and being his usual annoying self since Scott had “broken up” with him. However, they must have made up and are back to being friends because good old Johnny V is back in action. You would think that Scott would be easily be able to handle children after all that time spent with Johnny V.

I think I’m most excited to really meet Renee this time. She obviously didn’t get much air time last season since the whole point of the show was to get Scott away from her for eight weeks so he could see if he really could settle down and be with Renee. She seemed so normal and down to Earth in the few scenes she appeared in, and that’s a breath of fresh air on these reality shows. Most of the time, the women on the VH1 reality shows are over the top and bigger than life. Renee seems sweet and like she has a good head on her shoulders. I’m anxious to find out if that really is the case or if she’s going to live up to VH1’s “reality” women persona.

Well, if you just can’t wait another couple of weeks until the premiere of Scott Baio is 46…and Pregnant, you can get your Johnny V fix now. I found a clip of Johnny V on some red carpet somewhere being interviewed and being, well, Johnny V. Take a look:

Are we at all surprised by this announcement? It was just too conveniently ended to NOT have another season. The next season, set to shoot this fall, is expected to air early next year. This time, it will focus on all of the changes in Scott’s life including his upcoming wedding, becoming a father and a step father, and his changing relationships with his friends (including Johnny V.). The Hollywood Reporter claims:

The new season goes production in the fall and is slated to run with nine episodes (six half-hours and three hourlong installments).

No word on if Doc Ali will play a part in this season or on the new title of the show. Obviously, it will need a new title since Scott Baio will no longer be 45 or Single this season. Can you come up with a good name? Leave it in the comments below and I’ll send the best one in to VH1 for consideration.
