Be Still My Boy Band Loving Heart
Thank you, Spice Girls, for having such a successful reunion tour. The best possible news to any boy band loving girl in her late 20s and early 30s is that New Kids on the Block are getting back together for a world tour. While there has been no official declaration of the tour as of yet, many reputable sources like People Magazine and even Danny Wood himself via his MySpace page has been hinting at the reunion. Danny’s latest word on the reunion is to keep our eyes on NKOTB.com. Now the Official New Kids on the Block website has a place to sign up for ticket information.
I couldn’t be more excited. This is one concert I just will not miss. I went to their concert back in 1990 when I was 11 years old and I still play their greatest hits CD often. Don’t tease me, Donnie, Danny, Jonathan, Jordan and Joey. To quote their timeless song “Funky Funky Christmas”:
“Danny D are you ready? Ready as I’ll ever be. Steady. You knooooooow Joey Joe is ready! Jordan and Jon? Yeah! Come on!”
(PS: I realize there is no connection to VH1 in this post, but I’m too excited. Just to pacify you all, don’t forget Jordan was a participant in the Surreal Life on VH1, so there’s your VH1 connection!)
I want to know if you’ll go to the concert? Let me know how old you are and if you would buy tickets to see the New (not so much anymore) Kids on the Block in the comments section below.

I’m a 30 year old fan and am so excited about this possible reunion! I’d definitely go see them in concert, but I just can’t picture Donnie back up on that stage singing and dancing after all of the acting he’s been doing. But I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

OMG HEATHER!!!!! I almost peed my pants when Jeff told me that they were reuniting. I’m so glad you blogged about this. I never got to go to a NKOTB concert as a kid, and I am SO there now. I’ll drive with you wherever we have to go to see them!!
I’m 27 years old I and I would pay major moo-lah to see my beloved Danny in concert. :o)
Hugs!
