Hits like “No Such Thing” and “Your Body is a Wonderland” brought John Mayer’s folksy pop sound to the mainstream. Several Grammy Awards and a few albums later, he is on tour again. At the date of this post, John is making the rounds in Canada and he will soon be back in the States in early May to play even more dates. Don’t worry if your summer is already booked, because this tour lasts until September 20th with a final show in the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. You can see all of the scheduled dates for the John Mayer tour at VH1’s Tour Webpage and get your tickets through Ticketmaster. No word if his current girlfriend Jessica Simpson will be there to watch.

Hot off the heels of Gwen Stefani’s appearance as a mentor on American Idol, she has started up her tour featuring Akon, who sings with her on Gwen’s current hit “The Sweet Escape”. The pair have been everywhere recently, from the aforementioned American Idol performance, to the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (see picture above). If these TV performances have been any indication, get ready for a high energy show. The US leg of the tour ends June 29th in Reno, NV before Gwen and Akon head off to Europe. Are you ready to watch the former “Happy Days” and “Charles in Charge” star desparately try to find dates and chronicle his life for a VH1 CelebReality television show? I sure am! What a delicious disaster “Scott Baio is 45…and Single” (tentative title) is sure to be. He was definitely a teenage heartthrob, but has Scott Baio’s looks and charm stood the test of time? It will definitely be enjoyable finding out.

No premiere date has been set as of yet, but it is likely to air sometime this summer or later in the fall. Scott’s willingness to do a Reality TV show comes as somewhat of a shock since he once gave the following interview to Radar Online when asked about being on The Surreal Life:

No. I just think it’s very indulgent, self-serving. It’s just not what I want to do with my life. I don’t want to be that guy. I don’t have to be that guy. I know this is a cyclical business, and I’m not going to do something that’s going to hurt my future work. Plus, I just hate those shows. I can’t comment on why anyone else would do it. I just don’t know.

I am looking forward to seeing what happens here. I remember watching “Charles in Charge” wishing he could be my babysitter when I was growing up. Let’s see if my opinion changes after this show airs. What do you think? Will you watch “Scott Baio is 45…and Single”?

Fireworks at the Premiere, indeed! This season of Celebrity Fit Club: Men vs. Women, is off to a crazy start. This season’s contestants Maureen McCormick, Kimberley Locke, Da Brat, Tiffany, Cledus T. Judd, Ross “The Intern” from the Tonight Show, Warren G, and Dustin “don’t call me Screech” Diamond started off the show with a bang. Tonight’s show featured initial weigh ins, the first day of fit club with Harvey, a lot of yelling, some crying, and of course that giant scale. Who has the most to lose?
